Distribution Instructions

General Guidelines

Age Range: Designed for 18+.

Set the Environment: Display QR codes and URLs on screens. Have volunteers available to assist. Keep a couple of spare devices handy for those without smartphones. Play soft music in the background.

Timing: Distribute during a natural moment in your worship service(s). We’ve seen this most successfully done as a response to a sermon on the topic of the assessment (for example, following a sermon on relationships or discipleship). [Note: It is possible to distribute through your Small Groups or other avenues. However, you will equip more congregants, gain clearer insights, and communicate higher importance when you give the assessment space during your worship service(s).]

HOW TO’S

Customize Your Reports and Resources

Each assessment includes editable fields where you can add resources that appear in participants’ personalized reports. This ensures recommendations reflect your church’s unique ministries and trusted partners.

Once participants complete the assessment, you’ll be able to view all data within your dashboard and download your church’s aggregate PDF report.

Best Practices

  • Include both in-house ministries (e.g., small groups, mentoring, counseling) and external resources (books, courses, counseling centers) that you recommend.

  • Use URL Links for all resources you can. This can be a place on your website to sign-up for your group ministry, or even a link to Amazon to buy a book. Whatever it is, provide them with a simple next step to take that is clear.

  • If you don’t have any resources of your own for an area, you can simply use the pre-loaded resources that we have vetted and trust.

  • Keep resources practical and actionable.

  • Review and update resources periodically so recommendations stay relevant.

Learning From Your Churchwide Data

How to Use It

  • Review data & discuss the listed conversation questions with key leaders and stakeholders.

  • Identify three action steps you’re committed to. Starting with small, achievable wins builds momentum.

  • Follow a simple rhythm:

    • Learn from the data.

    • Change what needs adjusting.

    • Measure again.

    • Repeat.

Consistency matters more than intensity. Small changes, measured over time, produce lasting results.

Closing the Loop

The most important step in building trust with your congregation is closing the loop.

Within 1–2 weeks of reviewing data, communicate back to your church: “Thank you for taking the assessment. Here’s one thing we’ve learned, and here’s how we’re beginning to respond. Stay tuned for more.”

  • Share through all channels you used to promote the assessment.

  • Don’t overpromise. Simple acknowledgment that you’re listening goes a long way.

Doing this prevents “assessment fatigue” and shows your congregation that their voice matters. It also gives you increased credibility the next time you launch an assessment.
